DIE Interceptor

It is the bigger, deadly brother of the DIE Fighters.

Overview[]

While it only goes mach 1.8, it comes equipped with heavier shields and four heavy plasma cannons. Like the DIE Fighter, it also has one plasma torpedo launcher. It is even more expensive and usually are seen leading squads of fighters into combat. Another plus it has is it can also act as fighter-bomber, with the ability to carry a two-ton bombs into combat, while still being able to dogfight.

History[]

Very limited use before the Fall of Yoth, due to its ineffectiveness against the smaller threats at the time. Eventually, it was mass-produced to make up around 5% to 15% of the total DIE class fighters used by the Chat Empire.
