  • Drullkus needs help guarding his freighters as they travel through space from Installation 83TA to an anomalous black hole named Nulla. Normally Wormdrive, slipspace, and warpdrive would make this long journey happen in a matter of seconds, but the supplies the freighters are carrying are sensitive to all methods of FTL travel. This will be a long journey for the convoy. The supplies have to be transported to Nulla to begin the construction of a Zero Forge.

When a Zero Forge is complete, DKI can begin mass production of very advanced metal alloys including Lumium, Manyullyn, and Void Thaumium that are required for highly destructive weapons and powerful battleships. DKI doesn't have any Battleships because the Battleships DKI uses cannot fit through the stargate at 83TA and require metals made at the Zero Forge.

The projected encounters with multiple pirate cultures in deep space would most likely result in multiple conflicts. Assist DKI in defending the precious convoy!

The immediate threat when leaving 83TA appears to be the Space Raptor stragglers. Defeat the stragglers that come too close to the convoy!

The Thaumostatic Black Hole, Nulla, is deep in Chat Territory. They have research stations around it for experimentation.

The New Galactic Republic ship called the Unpunished exits slipspace.

Captain Dimitri "This is Captain Dimitri of the NGRS the "Unpunnished" and we have a Chat fleet on our tail.  We just stole a ship from the hell hole called Eafth and we needed a clean evac.  This station is secure right?"

Space Raptor stragglers are seen in clear view.  The Raptors move to engage but a chat scouting fleet arrives and seeing that the Unpunished is the least of the Chat's problems the Chat attack the larger Raptor force.  The two sides hammar away at each other while the unpunished tries to come into contact with the installation.

Three unarmed drones blaze over to Unpunished to scan it. They make a quick job of scanning in less than a few minutes.

Let's see... You're well-armed. You're still safe to enter. We're actually preparing to ship some supplies far away, deep into Chat territory. No, DKI is not part of Chat. We're fighting our way into their territory because they have a priceless asset that they have no idea about and DKI needs it badly. We actually need help delivering the stuff because this stuff is like a wet dream for pirate mechanics out there because it's so hard to make. Even DKI had lots of trouble making this equipment. We can't just wormdrive our way there either because this stuff is actually sensitive as to its relative position in time and space. Would you like to join us on this mission?

    • Character: Ship mistress Jade. (the name jade named after one of my ferrets in for real just a random info toss.)

Personality: She is tough, arrogant, and has a lot of energy, but is also highly cunning and thinks quickly in fast situations and slow when their is time. She dose not like having crew who are not male Kig-yar. If you are new to her crew when its time to eat at first you will think she is over feeding you. You better enjoy it while it last, because she will right after words put you in the training rooms making sure every calorie you had at dinner turns into mussel, and that not only for those who are new. She dose not permit alcohol onboard because she dose not want to dull her senses and believes males are "dumb enough with out it." She only attacks in person when with at least 2 others by her side.

Ship name: The tidal moon. It was the name of the ship before it was stolen from the chat.

Ship type: Emoticon class Corvette. One with a ship weapon focus of 40% and the rest focused on 2 shuttle bays. 60% of the weapons are "anti air craft" while the rest are anti ship.

Crew number: 745 male Kig-yar, youngest being 15 in human years, oldest being 26 in human years. Captives are only taken to feed them for being good.

Mane characters physical description: Ship Mistress Jade has green eyes but their only slightly shinny. She is 6 feet 8 inches tall and quite well in shape, very mussly, but aside from mussel she is quite thin and only 10 pounds away from being under weight. She is 29 in human years and turning 30 tomorrow.

Weapons: When onboard a ship she prefers a cutlass and a red plasma rifle, when onland she prefers a shot gun a anti tank rifle and a rapier. Aside from these she usually just lets the crew do the fighting.

The ship was relatively small, and it consisted of a primary segment down the middle with smaller features on the sides. In the cargo hold, the Lone Delta SEAL looks out the window alongside two smugglers.

Taud "Was traveling this far in system worth it for 'the view'?"

Havers "That was the captain's call. What do you think?"

Havers turned to the Lone Delta SEAL, expecting an answer, but received only an empty gaze in return, as usual. The SEAL's polarized visor completely hid his face, and the smuggler thought the black, reflective void where his face should be complemented his personality (or lack thereof).

Personally, he was suspicious, but the captain had agreed to allow the LDS onboard after the latter helped them evade authorities on Gauss Wisely. Rolling his eyes, Havers returned to glancing out the window.

    • (First of all, Nulla looks like a black hole. It has the physics of a black hole. It looks like a black hole to everyone. But Drullkus very well knows it's not a black hole. It is a Hungry Aura Node, a point in space where magic leaks from an universe with no dimensions and is completely made of magic energy. Hungry Aura nodes are generally small, but Nulla is one of those once-in-a-universe Star-sized Hungry Aura Nodes.)

(The the basic composition of magic is that there are six primal aspects, Ordo (order), Perditio (entropy), Ignis (fire), Aqua (water), Terra (earth), Aer (air). They can be combined in pairs to form compound aspects.)

(If an aura node is a linking point between a world of magical energy and a physical world, why is it still sucking in objects? Next post.)

        Loading editor
    • (In thaumaturgy theory, the magical energies are intelligent about the objects which exist. Aspects are associated with objects. You know there's the Primals, like Water would have Aqua associated with it.)

(Compound aspects are a combination of two aspects that describe the aspect itself. For example, you would have Terra and Ordo. They can be compounded into Metallium, the aspect related to metals in general. If you compounded Ordo and Ignis, you'd get Potentia, the aspect of Energy. There's like 30 other aspects out there. I left my notebook somewhere.)

(Now, with the Hungry Nodes. Any object they suck in is not destroyed. It is converted into an intangible form of magic called Vis. They follow the Aspect system. Say, a starship gets sucked in. A small hungry node will take forever to digest a starship, but it'll get massive loads of vis units. Massive blackhole-esque hungry node? Yeah. Bye bye starship.)

(There is a physical form of magic called Essentia. It is a liquid magical sludge liquid, but they require special pipes to be transported or else they will slip through the pipes no matter how tight. They follow the aspect system as well.)

(If you're silly to believe this irl: None of this stuff is IRL ofc. I'm just laying the foundations of the rules of magic for you guys to understand. Just inb4 some poor dude goes crazy.)

The four men in the room get up and begin loading the 2x2 metal containers onto three hover-carts. The smuggler glared at the Lone Delta SEAL, who remained still. The man briskly walked right up to the taller SEAL.

Edward, give the crates to the Logistic drones. We'll take the cargo and store it in our ME system.

(Normally you can't do this because the amount of data needed to store would require storage devices to be bigger than everything it's containing combined. Luckily, through Thaumaturgy-Object intelligence, a such thing is possible that the machine can know what object it is storing rather than the atoms of the thing it's storing.)

(DKI uses AI-operated fighters. Having an AI run the fighters allows them to be ten times smaller. The smaller, the easier to miss and maneuver. It also allows for a 'hive mind' if required for tactics.)

I'm almost finished assembling your Hullmelter laser turrets. I did a few modifications where instead of sending all power to laser, I put in shield-draining at the cost of some damage. What this means is that you will take longer time to fully destroy ships, but you get to really damage shields because of the laser properties. Energy-resistant shields are included! I'm giving each of you two, and I have 6 extras for handing out.

Once the mission is over and the Zero Forge is up and running, I'll supply you two stronger versions of the Hullmelter.

The cargoship doesn't have a FTL device because the cargo is sensitive to transportation and must be moved at speeds slower than light while still staying in the universe. I am pinging the cargoship on your radars. It must be defended at all costs or else this mission is a failure!

However Hungry nodes can distort the Grid in the same way normal black holes distort light. Drullkus has a specal weapon that can liquefy the grid temporarly, though.)

Drullkus: Just a thing in my history, I was visiting this universe a while back and found out it's a universe where some other universes would call it 'The Star Wars' universe. Yes. I met the Jedi. The force is a load of bullcrap.

What's really going on is that they were born with a cellular thingy in their cells that makes them sensitive to the Thaumostatic energies. They were able to manipulate it a little. Of course they picked up the energies of my starship as a 'disturbance' in the 'force'. They tried to fight me in a sword-to-sword combat. I used a Thaumostatic Liquefier. You shoulda seen their faces when their lost their powers.

    • Drullkus: I'm not sure if you can apply the design concepts of the AF Generator... The Aetherfield gasses that are used by the generator are very rare and hard to obtain. I had to import them from a Zero Forge outside this universe. They are created as gas residue from creating certain alloys, the prominent one being Lumium alloy.

The properties of the gas is energy absorption. If you shot your energy weapon at it, the energy would dissipate into the cloud. The Aetherfield Generator utilizes this but forms it into a proper shield.

Edward, Port Beta-Alice is the nearest one available, head there now. You can wait in the lobby if you'd like. Help yourself to food in the ME system or something.

Oblivious to any possible security regulations, the third man held an assault rifle in his hands. From the interior of the cargo bay, the SEAL silently observed the men step out into the light.

Drullkus: Interesting. Where'd they get this metal? It's a half-assed blend of ores, Thaumium, and some loose essential. Seems like the chat DID start experimenting with Nulla. The armor is stronger than Plasteel, but it's still destroyable. Shall we wreck them all? The armor isn't of any value because it's a shitty job of an alloy and I can't smelt it down either because it's not the correct blend.

Demiser came back to be and it turns out they do a check on every passing ship. Our cargo will look suspicious. Easily fixable with perception filters. But if we make our cargo unperceiveable, then we will appear suspicious with zero cargo in Atlas. Does anyone want to move some stuff into Atlas?

While they're distracted with checking out our stuff, they will most likely be grouped around us. The Nebula Bandits will flank them from the outside, while we all destroy them from the center. Kinda like lava melting a metal ring. Then you guys can just salvage the poor-grade armor scraps and hammer them into platings for your starship armor.

I just found out their turrets' targeting modules are thaumostatic grid dependent. That means if I turn on the Thaumostatic Liquefier, the sheer accuracy of their targeting modules will decrease to shooting in the dark. We will suffer minimal losses this way.

Does this sound like a good plan?
